Amphitrite was the Queen of the Ocean and wife to Poseidon. Amphitrite is a lighthouse in Ucleulet, Vancouver Island BC. Amphitrite is a celebration of the female figure in a way that I believe elevates the form of woman to the place of Goddess. Ethereal, delicate, powerful, graceful, enigmatic, mythical. This series is part one of many to be released in the coming years as I undertook this project over four years ago as a response to challenge myself [turns out shooting underwater while holding your breath, navigating a sheet to keep it classy, working with light and oh yeah, NOT breaking your gear, yup, challenge] as well as honor the female form. All images were shot and processed digitally.
